Ever consider taking on a few bottle lambs to raise for the market, calf, or feed a pig with the extra milk?

I took on a few lambs this year, figured that I could find a use for the extra milk from my Togg that milks ALOT. One problem.. She didnt' freshen yet, and I have the lambs already, lol. Last year when I had pigs, I thew them the extra milk with their grain. Wow did they grow well on it. Sometimes horse farms with orpahn foals need goat milk for the little ones.

I always wanted to make something out of the milk, but was never ambitious enough. (Much easier to just feed it to someone else.. pigs, lambs, ect. ) This year I'm going to try fudge, and soap. Ice Cream is REALLY REALLY good!! If you search the net, you should find some good recipies - also either Hoggers, or Caprine Supply or both have a Capprine Cooking (or something to that extent) Cookbook. May be a worthwile purchase!

Happy Milking! How about a milk bath?! lol
