What is CL? One of the goat had a cyst on his jaw that gradually went away but he recently died from unknown causes. I don't know if the goats have a temp, but the ones that are coughing have runny noses and in general look poor. Thier eyes are not bright and shiny but kind of cloudy. Could the cyst on the one that died be connected to the CL? I have my own goats, but never had a problem of this sort.

: One of the lifecycles of the lungwrom is a snail, so if you don't have water on your land with the goats that could harbor snails, you don't have lungworm. Valbazen is dosed at 8cc per 100 pounds if you want to try it. Couple of guesses, since they are all coughing I would suspect some thing like bad hay, or dry dusty conditions. Another guess would be pnemonia but you would also be seeing a temperature. Another guess would be CL abscesses, this is the most contagious form of CL. The abscess burst in the lung of one of the goats, and as it coughs it coughs the CL exude that is highly contagious to other members of the herd, in the hay trough the feed bowls the water troughs and onto other goats. Lots of newer folks to goats also have me over at their house to hear a cough that is just a normal coughing to throw up a very dry cud from dry hay and limited grain. Might want to try something as benign as giving them some probios, or maybe putting some baking soda out for them to eat. Keep us posted. Do they have a temp? Any other symptoms besides the cough? Vicki
