diahrea

Posted by Robin on April 04, 2001 at 07:07:02:

I have two new does, one is pregnant, the other is not. The home where they came from I don't think they were grained, just alfalfa hay. When they came here I started giving them grain along with the rest of mine. They are in a seperate pen so I gave them a smaller ration of grain at first and have built up from there. I noticed yesterday that they both have diahrea, and not much of an appetite. Neither one is bloated, but the pregnant one I noticed keeps gagging, or trying to regurgitate but I so nothing coming up. I opened her mouth to see if she had gotten something caught or had any sores in her mouth, nothing. I have taken their grain away from them for the night so that they will have to eat more of their hay and hopefully clear up this mess. Have I done right?
