I'm glad the kidding has slowed down. This past winter will go on record as being one of the worse for kidding that I have had. Within a 3 week period, I had 4 sets of triplets and 1 set of quatripletes, not to mention about 8 sets of twins. I lost about 25% of everything that was born during this period. It was madness around here. However, I had two sets of the triplets, that each contained a weak doe. I had to stomach tube one of them with an electrolyte solution and a B12 shot. Actually to my amazement, this goat recovered quickly and is doing fine. The last one did not need the stomach tube, but stayed very weak for several days. I shot this one with B12 and really think that this is what made the difference. Later the mother rejected this kid and everything I tried, the mother just would not accept it. So guess what...I'm it's mother now. I raise Boers and have only had to bottle feed a couple of times. The goat is doing fine, thanks in part to some help I received from the folks on this web site.
