The goat medicine book (pg 97) says that goats may be more suseptible to nutritional muscular dystrophy than other ruminants because cattle and sheep in New Zealand grazing the same areas as goats did not show the condition. I don't know if it is reversable.
Was he tested for copper, The last paragraph discribes a lameness related to copper. If he is getting minerals and feed for sheep he may not be getting enough copper. Sheep are sensitive to copper and goats need it.
