I am thinking of probable causes off the top of my head. i lost all my good files when my other computer died last week. I wonder about cocci. i have not had a lot of experience with cocci so i can't really provide a lot of information other than i know one of the symptons is direahha.
Here is something w edo after the kids are born that works for us. We first started using this method 2 yrs ago and have not had a kid with scours or calf yet, "knock on wood!" We give them a immuno supplement after theya re born and before they nurse or eat. We use a product called Immuno-G which is also similiar to ID-1 you can order her on goat world. You can find out more about immuno-g by going to the website, http://www.springbriar.com
We give 2cc's, one after birth, then 2 x's a day for 3 days after. i don't know how it exactly works but it does.
hope this helps a little. oh, wonder too about floppy kid syndrome, which is actually e-coli. Dirahhea is not always a symptom but can be.

Bernice
