Boer goat with urinary trouble

Posted by Deborah on May 03, 2001 at 17:12:19:

I have a boer goat that eats from the horses trough and he only gets sweet feed. I have tried to get him to stay away from it and just eat the corn & show goat mix, to no avail. Today he was out in the pasture laying down and moaning, he stood up and he was drizzling bad. Could this be a urinary infection? If so, how do I treat him, besides keeping him away from the sweet feed? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
