I had a wether do this and get completely blocked. He only got a little grain a day as a treat but he also was on very rich pasture. The vet said no grain and more hay and less heavy pasture (he's a pig too!). We thought we were going to have to do surgery but I suggested sedating him for a couple of days like you can do with cats. We gave him Acepromazine twice a day for three days-keeps them from straining and getting more inflamed-he passed everything and was fine. The vet was amazed, he had already decided that this goat was freezer bound!
