Hello Kari,

That is terrible that Bernadin stopped supplying the items you need. Goatmom is right about the Ball and Kerr jars. There is also another company that makes canning jars called Golden Harvest out of Muncie, Indiana. Since the season is getting late, Wal-Mart is less likely to carry any of the jars - generally Ball and Kerr still sell in regular supermarkets but they are quite a bit higher in price. If I can find some of the quart Golden Harvest jars, how many do you want? If I remember right they sell for something like $7 or $8 per 12 ct. I have shipped a number of jams and jellies all over the US and no broken jars yet (knock on wood). I don't know how well empty jars would do though. I can send you some of the "regular" lids and bands as well as the "wide mouth" lids and bands to see if they will work on your jars - might be the best way to go. I can get a steady supply of those at any time. All bands and lids are interchangeable between Kerr, Ball and Golden Harvest.

Best regards,

Gary
