Monday was the first day back to school after two weeks home for our boys and all I have to say is THANK GOD!!! They both had the flue for a few days and seemed when they werent' sick, they were fighting and if not fighting getting into stuff. My leather room looks like a bomb went off in it after they said we just need to find something. I am not sure what they were looking for but they left nothing unturned. Goathater and I picked up my training horse surprisingly that went well. She had to be winched into the trailer to get her loaded to go, this time she just walked in and backed out. Of course on the way home (10mile drive)the truck started to make a really bad sound in the front end. I told him it was nothing he just ran over a stick or something got caught in the front end. Of course when he called me to pick him up from the garage last nite we knew that was not the case. Funny we looked at a truck last week because we knew that something was going to happen but turned it down because of sticker shock and the trouble it was going to take to get it. Goathater just got home at the moment it doesn't look to bad as far as fixing the truck I hope he is right. Topping things off Saturday one of our rams was acting a bit goofy. One side didn't work so well and the back end was really off. Sunday he seemed better but last nite he was worse. We are sure he had been fighting with the other ram and has suffered a skull fracture he will be put down today. I am really bummed as he is our best ram yet his horns are over a foot long on top and probally the lower set is close to a foot long and he is only about 7 mo. old maybe 9. He sure would be impressive next fall. We knew they would have to be separtated or at least have a larger pen but we thought we had more time. Tough lesson learned I guess. Hope you all have a good day gotta run and feed Goathater, do chores, finish a pair of chaps, take care of that ram and the list goes on. At least I don't have to pick the kids up from school the bus will drop them off today....of course that gets me going they have never ridden the bus home before. I need more coffee.
