You poor dear. It sounds like you got the storm that we just had. While it wasn't too bad in our particular area, they got several more inches than we did a little farther up north. Two nights ago it got down to -3 and then the winds started in as the storm moved out. This was the fourth snowstorm we've had this season and the most that I've seen in my 6 or 7 years here in the Midwest. The oldtimers say that the winters now are alot milder than they used to be, but they are kind of now saying that the winters of yesteryear are returning again. The thing that gets me though is how it can be 68 degrees one day and then -3 the next. That is a real shock to man, animal and beast. I hope we get some warmer weather soon. Please keep your kids and yourself safe and warm. I'll try to conjur up some warm south winds for you!
