I had this problem with a little doeling that was born here last spring. I didn't know much about contracted tendons at the time, so I waited for a few days to see if it would resolve itself. A few days went by and she was still unimproved, so I splinted the leg to help her walk on it. A few days later she was fine. I have since learned, from reading Pat Coleby's book, that giving A&D supplements (such as cod liver oil) will help with this condition. However, my little doeling is now a nice looking doe and seems to suffer no ill effects from the experience.
