Hi Jessica,

The average gestation period is 150-151 days, I've had them run anywhere from 147-152 days here.
To figure the due date easily, click on Goatworld Articles. Gary has a gestation table up, plus a really neat Pregnancy Calculator.

There are ways to tell when the birth is getting close, but I can't tell you what exactly they are right now. I always have to study up on it myself,
plus it will come back to me when the time is near! There are also several good kidding articles posted down below the gestation table.

I clip the udder before freshening so the kid doesn't have to contend with long winter hair, it's also easier for me to milk the doe without inadvertently pulling hair.
