Does after they kid will have several weeks of discharge, I think the dairy folks see it more since the does are jumping up and down of milking stands. The amount should be small, non smelly, and be grey to pink. We do have some bright blood now and then, but as long as it is just a bit, I don't worry. Some does keep themselves spotless and you don't even notice this (lochia) other does are pigs and let themselves get filthy! Spraying the rear udder and tail with oil, works great for the clean up we have to do each day.

If you keep the bigger side milked down each day, soon the kids will be drinking to much milk to share a side, milking the side will keep it in milk and will give you growthier kids. If you let that side dry up, than the kids will be forced to share the milking side, and your kids probably won't be getting enough milk. Vicki
