Hi,

As kay mentioned you don't want to play with bloat for too long. We had a buck a few yrs ago who got out and into the grain box. hubby forgot and left the top up. he decided to :party for new Years eve' in the grain. of course the vet was away the nest day and i wa son my own. i tried the milk of magnesia and it didn't help, so i then called a friend who suggested 1/4 c hair conditioner in a little bit of water in a turkey baster down the hatch. Then the other key to all of this is to keep them walking, you don't want them laying down or still, even with the milk of magnesia. you can get the directions for the milk of magnesia treatment off the National Goat hanndbook site, forgot addy and my puter crashed so lost the bookmark, but type it in on a search. try the milk of magnesia first. hope this helps. oh, walk them until they blow pooh. then give them a thick mix of baking soda in water and turkey bater that down the hatch and then after probiotics to balance stomach and then give penacillian for 5 days. our vet finally called after he poohed and suggested the penacillain. good luck and hope this helps.

Bernice
