I agree that overuse of anti-biotics will only cause serious problems down the road. I started a log last year. For every visit I made to my vet, I logged the reason, what he prescribed, and the outcome. I now refer back to this log when something arrises. I am not a vet and don't have their schooling but sometimes when you live in the country like we do you have to try to help yourself and save your animals. So after a year I went to him and asked for the most prescribed drugs. He ordered me a bottle of each of the following: Vitamin b-12, vit b complex, Nuflor (anti-biotic), banemine (only use as last resort, has some effects after long term use but is a miracle saver to us), Lactates ringer (spelled wrong) for dehydrating kids and something else I can't think of. Anyway we used to use LA-200 but did switch to bio-mycin 200, non sting. We again only use these drugs when we HAVE to. I hope this has helped alittle. Again these have worked for us so far and maybe someone will have a better prospective for you.
