I am not real sure what you are asking, you may have left out a word or two in your message. The one thing that I did pick up on, was you said you were running to the vet. First of all, there are some medications that you will have to get from a vet because they are not sold over the counter. However, there are many supplies that you can order from places such as Jeffers. (www.jefferslivestock.com or 1.800.533.3377 and ask for a catalog) I believe there is a article on this web site that will list for you the different items that you should keep on hand. Maybe somebody else can point the exact spot for you. There is another web site, (www.caprinesupply.com or 1.800.646.7736 and ask for a catalog) Caprine Supply sells a First Aid Kit that contains some of the items you may want to have on hand. However, I have found Caprine Supply to be generally higher priced than Jeffers. Personally I would order individual supplies from Jeffers and forget the Kit, but that's up to the individual and the size of your herd. If you are asking which you should keep antibiotics or penicillin. I keep a variety of both, according to the medical problem, you may use a variety of medications. There is also a spot on this web site (I think, I have read so many things all over the internet) that list many different medications and what ailments they will treat. Even if you don't order from Caprine Supply, there catalog contains some useful information that you might find helpful. Hope this helps some. There are others that frequent this site, that has had more experience with different medications than I have had, which I'm not sure is good or bad. I have a herd of 50+ Boer goats and have been very fortunate to have had relatively few problems in the last 4 years.
