Any worms seen in the poop is tape worms, and yes Ivermectin doesn't touch them. We use Ivermectin 1% cattle injectable, orally at 1cc per 50 pound, under dosing wormer is the fastest way to resistance, which could be what you are seeing. Problem is that now dosing correctly may still not help your problems. Switching wormers to another class of drug may. Unless another goat owner is fecaling and seeing Panacure/Safeguard working I wouldn't use it. Switch to Valbazen in your kids, it gets tapes, lungworms (which i doubt you are seeing in a 4 month old, also the mid life of the lungworm is a snail, got snails?) we use it at 8cc per 100 pounds, so 4 cc for your 40 pound kid. Another excellent wormer is cydectin, it is a pour on but you still use it orally. You may not want to switch back to Ivermectin for several seasons now. Also...scruffy coated ungrowing kids are usually cocci not worms. Vicki
