BG (before goats) I lost a litter of puppies(in utero) 3 days after the city sprayed our ditch with some awful smelling stuff to kill weeds, another dog came down with liver failure. The city informed me that it did not have to inform me when it did these things. I had an attorney draft a letter to the city recounting what all had happened and that the vet suspected chemical poisoning from herbicides etc. (very legal and mildly threatening) All it requested was notification prior to spraying. They have stopped spraying altogether.

Before you get yourself charged with assault maybe a letter outlining your request to be notified when spraying takes place would be enough. Even if that didn't cause Trixie's death I don't want my animals exposed to that-you should have seen me go off on the Chemlawn guy who mistakenly sprayed my back yard when we lived in suburbia!
