Sanitation is the KEY to good tasting milk. You must be very hygenic in the milking process and then the straining/storage. I begin with using anti bacterial baby wipes to clean the udder then milk inot a stainless steel bucket (plactic makes the milk tase bad) and then we pour that milk into a 5 gallon stainless steel milking machine bucket and then take into the house and strain, again stainless steel and then pour into glass jars and flash cool, by putting it into the freezer for about 20 mins or so then into the refrig.
One note: What you feed a goat too impacts upon the tast.
Now as for pasturization, I just started pasturizing the milk, however, if you know what you have and don't have then its a personal choice. I do it because of our business.
