Hands down, LaMancha's. Not only are they resonably priced but they are quiet, hardy, you rarely have to trim feet, they kid eaisly and are excellent moms, their kids are also not as wild even though they are mama raised. They eat less, have more meat per bone (well probably not as much as pygmy) have a wonderful milk supply so if you do decide to milk later on, and the best is that if you do later on decide to upgrade, register and show, their herd books are open and you can breed them up to pure. There are not that many around so folks need you to sanction their shows so it is a whole calmer ballgame showing them. Vicki
