One thing I use for tick control is a sulphur block in each goat pen. While it does not totally eliminate all the ticks on our goats, it does seem to significantly reduce them. Of course the goats have to lick the blocks from time to time (which they do) to get some of the sulphur into their systems but that has never been a problem. They seem to like the taste and know when they need some of the sulphur in their systems.

If you can stand the racket, a small flock of guineas will help immensely as well. I'm basically using a triple attack method - burning the fields in the spring, the sulphur blocks and all the poultry such as guineas and chickens that we can stand to have around.

Best regards,
