You know this might not be the same thing, so I am going to have to double check with my husband to be sure. But we had a whither (spelling??) who had the same type of mass or lump on his face. My husband came across this article that described it to the tee and also mentioned what was mentioned here, along with the fact that if this mass was to open up, it would infect the other goats as well.

I will ask him again to be sure, and find out the name of the mass and post it to the board.
