I appreciate all the response that we received about the goat aucton in PA that is coming up. I do think I may have confused some of you and I don't want to be misleading. The sale I am refering to is NOT an aucton barn but a sale where private breeders sale to others that are trying to enlarge their herds etc. usually they are organizations etc. like the one we had in ohio a few months back, that was run by the OBGA .Thease were all young animals not yet proven but from stock that was and registered, with records of shots etc. Goats are not a big thing in Ohio at least not at the present time, we have problems finding proper feed , vet with goat knowledge etc. Seems that most people in our area still think goats eat tin cans.............
If you tell them that you have a boer or pygmy or nubian they look at you like you are crazy.

They don't know what they are missing!!!!!!!!!!!

We would NEVER consider buying a goat from a auction barn where all the animales are lumped together ,dirty, sick or who knows what, many or should I say most of them headed for slaughter, I am sorry to say.. Hope I cleared up any confusion that I may have caused. Thanks, Sid
