I have been reading all of the posts regarding Coccidia and I have a few questions because I want to make sure I have got this right, as we have new babies comming any day.

First off I posted a question on the board about a week ago regarding our boer kid Nicholas having diarea etc and it was suggested that we worm and treat with Albon, I do not believe I got a chance to thank everyone who answered me and explained to me what Coccidia is and how to treat it. Just to let everyone know, we wound up taking Nicholas to the vet then because he was also dehydrated. She kept him overnight and hydrated and medicated him, also giving us a bottle of the Albon and a bottle of a white liquid wormer, I don't remember the name off the hand, but we were using the pill form wormer, not knowing that it was better to use this. Anyway we treated all of our kids for worms and the coccidia. Nicholas is doing beautifully running and jumping around again, playing etc..Thanks you all of you!!

Anyway, now here is my question. Do we need to treat all the new kids with Albon as well, or should we wait for symptoms of the coccidia? I know that not all cases come with the diareah. We do not buy the medicated feed, as I have been told both good things and bad things about feeding our goats medicated feed. I mean do they all come down with it? And how old should they be before we worm them? I have one more question if you don't mind. Is it safe to worm a goat who is pregnant or should we wait until after she has kidded?

I know I sound totally confused here, probably because I am, and want to make sure that I am doing the right thing.
