Disregard the info on the back of the Dimethox powder, with a quart of water you have to dose way to much at one time:
Get a 2 quart mason jar with a mayonaise lid, metal will rust. Fill it with 1 cup of boiled and then room temp water. Add the packet of Dimethox. You will then dose this at 7cc per 100 pounds the first day, halving the dose to 3.5cc per 100 pounds for day 2, 3, 4, and 5. Keep in the fridge and put a poison label on it!
The 40% injectable (which is syringed out of the jar but then take off the needle and give orally) is used at .63 per 10 pounds, 1.56 per 25 pounds, 3.12 per 50 pounds or 6.25 per 100 pounds, and like all of these Albon products you use full strength the first day, and half strength days 2, 3, 4, and 5. The gal who uses this injectable, which you use orally just goes up to the full cc. So if the goat weighs 50 pounds she just gives the 3.5cc etc. So in reality you are simply giving 1cc per 10 pounds the first day and 1/2cc per 10 pounds for days 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Sulfaquinoxiline 20% is dosed at 2cc per 50 pounds for all 5 days since it is a different form of sulfa. It also get bacterial scours and pnemonia like Albon's sulfa. Vicki
