You don't want a Nubian from me then! My boys don't grow beards! They do look very masculine, just no beards, yet I have a 4 year old doe out in the barn of another bloodline who has a beard! Just let the breeder of your first buck castrate for you, whichever way they do it, we simply use the rubberband method. This will insure that he also gets vaccinated, read down on worms and cocci, both of these things are real problems on stressed just purchased goats. Vicki
