Hi Mary-It's not that you would give a fake e-mail but that certain addresses are more 'protected' than others. If you're on MSN for example you can have a 'hotmail' address for things like this. It's not hard (and personally I don't worry that much about giving my address out-it easy to delete mail I don't recognise)I am 40 and very untechie so if I can figure it out you can : ) Plus I have gotten some good deals from my SPAM so it's not all bad.
