Adding Pictures to your Messages! Part I

I know that a few people have remarked about photos being added in their messages. It really is quite simple so I'm here to let you know how to take advantage of this feature.

First, you need to have a picture (but of course).
Then, you need to have that picture saved on a web site where it has its own address.

Okay, so I probably lost some of you already now. You need to be able to UPLOAD and SAVE your pictures to a web site (like GoatWorld.com for example) so that you or anyone else can go to it.

What I'm going to do is give you an example so you can see how this works. I will be sending you to a graphic you will perhaps recognize that is here on GoatWorld. Just "close" the example when you are done to return to this message. (It opens a new window).
Click this blue link below for the first example:
Picture Example 1

What you have seen is that the "Find It" picture is at a WEB ADDRESS - this is how you will keep your pictures too. (I'll give you an option later in this message for this).

Now that you hopefully understand that part of it, let's look at the WEB ADDRESS part of it.

www.goatworld.com is a WEB ADDRESS.
http://www.goatworld.com is a WEB ADDRESS.

"My Web Site is Here" is NOT a WEB ADDRESS.

It is very important to get used to using the "http://www." part of a WEB ADDRESS because you will need it to add your picture(s).

Since you are going to be using PICTURES, you must understand that all pictures have an EXTENSION such as ".jpg", ".gif", ".bmp" or ".tif". So knowing that, let's say you have a picture called:
"findit.jpg"

Let's say your picture is on GoatWorld in the "graphics" directory. The WEB ADDRESS for your picture would be:
http://www.goatworld.com/graphics/findit.jpg

So now you might be asking, "that's all well and fine Gary but how do I get my picture(s) in my message??" Okay, I'll tell you.

You need to CALL the WEB ADDRESS from inside your message by doing this (using my previous example):
t0 make this work. I used those only to keep the CALL from actually displaying the image.

Let me try this to make sure it is working. More soon.

Best regards,

Gary Pfalzbot
