Did she have a high fever? I lost a doe a few months ago just as quickly as you lost yours. I took her body to the diagnostic lab and they said she had died of inhalation pneumonia brought on by the ingestion or inhalation of a petroleum based product. We think the field next to our house was sprayed with something and it got into our does as we had 15 or so of them sick and two died.

The only symptom that anything was wrong was a high fever. Shortly after that they were down and if we couldn't get the fever down quickly, they died. Don't know if that's what happened to you but when something like this happens, you'll be surprised where it can come from. I know I was. Good luck with your search and I hope nobody else gets sick.
