Hi Kari
I have to hand carry water to my goats, and I don't have electricity in the barns. For the last 3 years I have given them warm water in the morning and evening (7am/5pm) and so far I havent' had any problems. As Nat says, I think they know when the water is coming, and to stock up. Of course on days when I have the time, I go out and give them some warm water midday....but with busy lives, that doesn't happen every day. So far, this has worked for me.
