Goat Tricks

Hi All:

Yes, the weather is cold and miserable here too; lots of snow and very cold temps - about -25C with a wind chill of -39C. Thought you might get a chuckle out of this:

My goat barn is divided into 2 pens with a milking and storage area in the center. I keep several loafs of bread on a shelf about a foot from the ceiling under which is an old deep freeze for storage of grain.

Last nite when I went to milk, I found the door to this area open, and all the bread gone! Seems that somehow they got the gate open; hopped on the deepfreeze and stole all the bread that was up on the shelf - I found many bread bags all over the pasture this morning. They see me take bread from that shelf but never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect that they would resort to thievery!!!

Had a good chuckle over it and made darned sure that they can't ever open that gate again.
