I hope you are right. I told you the other day that I am starting to see Billy Jack filling out some, the baby face is starting to go away, his head is filling out etc.

I think I am more concerned for the does. The goats have been breeding and I am afraid that when they are ready to kid they are not going to be big enough. Of course we should have probably thought of that before hand hu? (smirk)I personally can't see a weight tape being accurate, but hey what do I know..Todd checked them 3 times so as far as the tape says, he is getting accurate readings.

Now Mabel, my 35 pound boer/spanish cross, she was one of twins, (5 mos old) and they were both really tiny when they were born. This makes me think back to when their mama's were pregnant they got into that mountain laurel and the vet had to come out and give them meds etc..so I wonder if that has anything to do w/her weight. Now Bubba my youngest who is a 60 lb boer/spanish cross buck who is only 4-1/2 months old, his mother was one of those who got into the mountain laurel too..so go figure..LOL..Then angel the other spanish/boer cross who is 33 lbs is another one ( 5 mos old) who's mother got into the mountain laurel. The other goats did not get into it, this was way before their time.

Hey does the amount of space have to do with how fast a goat grows. Kind of like a fish, the larger the tank the larger the fish? The goats have smaller quarters than normal temorarily, since we are not totally done w/the fencing, and we had to seperate the calves and the goats. Right now they goats only have a little over 1/2 of acre..they will have all their space back in the spring. We are down to 8 so is that bad?
