Linda:

I am going to copy and paste part of the message Gary sent me under my "goat getting fat and runny noses" question the other day. I hope this helps..His message is in full if you scroll down the board a little bit. Keep us posted ok!

Back to the pneumonia - I've noticed two or three distinct kinds of pneumonia and the one that seems to run rampant this time of year in our location is the one that displays very little if any nasal discharge. There is more of a raspy sound to their breathing - but all varieties still display the behavior of standing there and not being very interested in food. The Tylan 200 is specifically formulated for Pastuerella multocida. If the first shot does'nt bring marked improvement with 12 hours, then I do as the others suggested and use the more expensive Naxcel (Excenel) or Nufluor. If any of you can't find Tylan 200 and need some, I can get the 250ml bottles and provide them for I believe $22.50 (shipping included - but let me double check my price).
