Hi Linda, I am from southwestern Minnesota. We have both fullblood boers and percentages. I have found that the percentages are in high demand around here and also the fullblood bucks for breeding. We found a good market for our wethers with a couple of Mexican families and friends. They have excellant dispositions and are very friendly of course you do get an occasional one with a " I'm queen attitude", but then thats only natural. The percentage kids are as Lila said very hardy and seem to handle the winters fine if they have a decent barn and good bedding. I love them. Hope this helps some.
