Gary,
I do not feed Christmas trees to my does bt occasionally they get out of their pen and nibble on our lone red pine. I have not at this date had an abotion from this. Maybe because they aren't eating the whole tree. I have also heard that Wisteria is poisonous and my goats if allowed, trim this plant right up as far as they can reach. I did have a little doe once eat rhododendron and get extremely sick, vomiting, diarrhea, no appetite. She made it but the plant didn't. I dug it out and it is growing at my mom's place. The little doe was out running loose in the yard, so she was not starving when she partook of the forbidden bush! She was just nosey!
