I know I would do the same in fact I am due to pick up 2 ewe lambs in a week or so. I worked for a vet that raised sheep and kept some milk does to help with the trips and quads. You said you don't have a fresh doe at this time do you know where you can get goat milk? If not go with a top Lamb replacer many vets or feed stores can direct you to the best one. As far as getting along. My adult goats and sheep refuse to get alonge they can't stand one another. I have put weanling lambs and kids togather they stayes segragated unless it was raining and cold. Then they were forced to share the shed. Even in the shed it was lambs one side kids the other side. Not sure if all act this way or if it's because of how I keep them , sheep one side of the farm /goats the other. Probally does depend on the temperment I just remembered the goats my vet kept were wet nurses to the lambs, not just milk providers. Good luck
