Hi Lila and Lyman, Is your doe showing weakness in the legs at all. I'm thinking it could be ear mites too but I don't know if it would cause her to go off feed but just incase it is milk fever one thing you could do is get some calcium (600 mg) and take 6-8 pills and break them into a powder along with Vit. D3 caplets. After you get them ground up put them in a cup of warm milk and give this to her. We just had a situation come up on goat911 with milk fever and one of the medics gave this recipe. The warm milk keeps the calcium suspended better. The nutri drench will help if she is off feed but if she is not drinking make sure she gets some sort of electrolytes. Once she is feeling better she will start to eat again. You should be able to find the calcium and the vitamins at most pharmacies or walmart store. I hope this helps please keep us posted.
