When you say right after they get their first milk, how soon right after? I mean within hours, minutes or the same day?
I do not put the Cocci treatment in their water. I give it to them orally with a syringe, so I make sure each get the proper dosage, I do not like to rely on putting it just in their water bucket, and HOPE they get enough..you know what I mean? We had one goat that wound up with Cocci pretty bad, took him to the vet and was able to save him, but we did loose him several months down the road after that. I am sure a lot of it had to do with the damage the cocci had left him. This was my sons pet, so I do not like to take any chances, and I want to make sure that they all get the correct dosage.
