Helene, finally something I have experienced first hand. I had a yearling this year that I had induced because she seemed to be losing her udder. I took her to the vet. She was given estrogen injection and then four hours later at home I gave her an injection of lutylase. She was suppose to freshen in 24 to 36 hours and she did in 30 hours. She had the quads who by the way are doing fine now at 5 weeks old. I would not hesitate in doing it again. It was a good experience for us. I knew the doe was due on the day she had the babies, another good reason to hand breed, which I try to do, but do not always accomplish. So don't worry, inducing is not terrible, it is often done for pregancy toxemia according to the books. Keep us informed. Dalice
