I have bandes goat horns several time . it work well on older goats . I clip the hair around the base of the horn ans use my dremel wirh a round bit to make a grove at the very base of the horn . this works for big scurs as well . the draw back is you want to do this in colder weather as you do not have the problem of flys . after I get the bands on I put2 per horn and then duct tape around the horn . it has worked well for me . and seems lots better than cutting the horns off . some take longer than others to loose the horn but all will fall off in time .
