Sorry my name doesn't begin with an "L" all you L people talking was kind of cute. Anyhow, is this a newly freshened goat? I had one a couple of years ago that freshened with a beautiful udder but it was full of swelling so it didn't allow the milk to enter. They vet called it udder edema and prescribed Lasix to get rid of the fluid. After that treatment she milked a gallon a day. I have heard however that this is sometimes a symptom of CAE. I had pulled her kids and heat treated her colostrum anyhow because she was from an unknown source. I ended up selling her because her milk was horrible tasting. THe goat that gave nasty goat milk its name. Dalice
