Me too!! The one thing I do not like is that sometimes they wait to long before they send a calf to us. We are sort of the "rescue missions". My son really gets a lot of satisfaction from taking care of these calves for them. I guess I can understand why they wait, I mean those bags of powdered milk are very expensive, and my husband's uncle foots the bill for medications, the milk and the feed, but I think there is such a thing as waiting too long. The last calf they sent to us, his mamma was not letting him feed at all, they waited until he was very weak, and to be honest I was a little leary of things when we first got him, but he perked right up. My son is really great with them, and that is why they send them over to us, because they know he will take extra special care of them.

What is really nice for him too, is when the calf grows up and is ready for sale, they will give my son a 1/2 of the money they sell for.
