Help.......Goat Down

Amber Waves Pygmy Goats Ivermectin

Posted by Gloria on July 06, 2002 at 16:51:20:

Doe was fine this afternoon as best we can tell, she was in the pasture with the rest of the herd. About 1 hour ago we found her near the barn, she was attempting to get in the barn and was down on all 4 legs. She tries to stand but is unable to. Help please....What could be wrong? She has twins that are 2 months old and has been fine up to this point. Is it a muscle problem ? I don't think it is heat related as most of the time when it is hot they all spend their time in a special low area by the creek under a group of trees. Someone please give me some ideas,I don't want to lose another doe. For some reason I can't get the goat world articals to open for me so I can't do research for myself...........Gloria
