This doe still isn't looking well. I didn't get to see her poop this morning, but it's not messy back there so I'm assuming that has improved. She has lost weight, appears skinny and doesn't seem to have energy though. Her appetite still is not normal either. I separated her this morning into a small 10 x 10 inclosure that is in the same pasture. I don't want her to have to compete for feed. Her triplets are 9 or 10 weeks old now and I am worried that the added drain on her isn't helping anything either. She doen't seem stressed by the separtation at this point. Is it okay to give extra grain? I'd like to see her gain a little weight back. Also, when I asked for B complex at my feed store they gave me CyanoPlex. Is this the same thing? It does have B vitamins along with other ingredients. The dosage says calves, swine and sheep 1-2 ml once or twice weekly. I've noticed that on some of the other posts B-complex is recommended in higher doses and more often. What about this CyanoPlex? Can I safely give more and more often? Also, is there anything else I could feed her to "plump her up" and make her feel better?

Thankfully Sunny, my Nigerian doe, seems to be feeling somewhat better. She still doesn't look "right". However, she is eating better now. The last time I saw her poop(this morning) it was still loose, but not watery. I'm going to keep a close watch on her and treating her as suggested. Thanks again Maggie for all of the advise!!!

Oh its hard to OD on ivermectin, it has been proven safe at 25 to 50 times the recommended dose.

All that sounds good. And apparently you figured out how to use the thermometer! Mucus is pretty common when a goat has diarrhea.

Her temp is 103.5 and I found her nibbling hay. I thought that was encouraging. However, she still has watery diarrhea. There was also a small amount of white mucus stuff comimg out of her butt. I gave 3cc ivermecin........even though I forgot to check eye color first (Duh, I don't know what I was thinking!). I hope that's okay. I also gave the probios. I also remembered that I had some of Hoeggers Goat Serum, so I gave 7cc of that. It is supposed to boost immunity and I thought it couldn't do any harm. I'm headed out now to get molasses, B complex and goat drench. Thank you again Maggie for your help! If there is anything else I can be doing for her please let me know.

Thank you so much Maggie. I will check eye color and give another dose of Ivermectin immediately. She is a small Nigerian, but 3cc couldn't be an overdose could it? I'll also do the probios again. I haven't check for fever. That is something I've never done before. I assume just do it rectally. No diet changes and the hay is from the same "batch" as I've been using. I have other goats with her and they are all okay. By the way she is up to date on the CD/T. Thank you again......you are a blessing!!!

The dose you gave (if using the ivermectin injectable for Cattle) is only enough for a 50 pound goat. Most of my adult pygmies weigh more than that. You may want to redose but give at least 3 cc. Look at her lower inner eylids for color. They should be deep rosy or salmon pink. If the are pale pink or white then her problem probably IS worms. If you have B Complex injectable start her on that too twice a day by SQ injection. Follow the recommendations on the bottle for dose. Give the probios daily. You can give Goat Nutridrench, Geritol (give the adult dose) or RedCell for Horses (give half the horse dose) once daily for a couple of weeks to help rebuild the iron in her blood. You can mix up a batch of Magic (1 part molasses, 1 part vegatable oil, 2 parts Karo Syrup with a bit of warm water to thin it some) and give her an ounce 2 to 3 times a day for energy. Check for fever (a sign of entero) before giving the Magic, sugar can make enterotoxemia worse....

Diarrhea in adults goats can also signal enterotoxemia or some other digestive upset. Does she have a fever? Change of feed, put out on a new pasture? New bale of hay?

Don't take the kids away from her that will stress her more listening to them cry.

She is the mother to 9 weeks old triplets. Yesterday I immediately noticed she didn't look right. Along with the poop all over her backside, she appeared listless and did eat. I assumed possibly worm problem so gave 2cc ivermectin orally and 10g probios paste. She seems somewhat better at the evening feeding. However, this morning she is as bad or worse than yesterday morning. She does not look good at all and I'm very worried about her. Any advice would be most appreciated! Also, I hadn't planned to wean the kids yet, but in her condition I'm wondering if that may be best at this point.
