The proper dose for penicillin is 1 cc per 20 pounds, you are only giving enough for a 60 pound goat and even many pygmies weigh lots more than that. You also need to give it twice a day.

Have you check her eyelids? She could have a severe case of worms. You can give RedCell for Horses (half the horse dose), Geritol (give the adult dose) or Goat Nutridrench twice a day for energy and to build the iron back in the blood. Also give Fortified B Complex at double the recommended dose for a few days. I don't think you are treating polio but she could be having some nerve problems. B Complex also helps sooth a damaged gut and promotes appetite.

With her being lethargic and laying down alot she could now have pneumonia on top of a severe worm load.

You will have to force water or an electrolyte fluid to keep her hydrated if she won't drink. About a gallon a day for standard sized goats, half to a third of that for miniatures. Do not tip her head back too far when giving water, just tip the nose up to just above level.

A temp of 104 is only barely elevated, especially for a stressed goat in a hot environment.

I would call one of the capri-medics on here. Maggie in N.C. or Barbara in KY are two I always turn to. I am sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Is it possible she has a mastitis condition? I had one that came down with this and showed the same symptoms, rapid high temp, quick weight loss, head drooping.
Would help to give more info about the doe to determine a more accurate diagnose. Has she given birth recently or nursing kids? What type of daily feed and forage she been eating? Is her drinking water clean and free from any contamination and pesticides? Has she been given CD-T vaccine within past year?
The magic will help for temporary energy. If you get the fever under control then she will benefit from probios and B-complex injection SQ. The Ivermectin will work much better than safe guard if she has parasite problem.

Look at her eyelids and see if they are white or pale pink which indicates a worm overload. Safeguard is pretty much ineffective so I would use Ivermectin 1cc per 25 pounds orally for 2 days then repeat again in 2 weeks. I would also give her some magic....1 part molasses,2 parts karo, 1 part corn oil add some warm water and she should drink this.
Is she bloated? Her left side would be larger than the right.
If she is laying down and not getting up you should put a bale of hay under her to hold her up so her muscles dont start deteriorating they tend to do this very quickly.
I am no expert but this might help until Maggie can help you.
