Thank you for the advice. Still lost the little guy & took the body to vet. He didn't run any tests but said it was the red top hay & they died of presic(?) acid if they died that qickly after eating the hay. This remedy will be good for me next time. Thanks again.

Treat for bloat by giving a tablespoon or two (more for adult goats) of vegetable oil. Then hold the kid with his head end higher than his rear and massage his abdomen (especially the left flank area) deeply to help break up the bubbles holding the gas and help him burp. Then give baking soda in water (about 2 teaspoons dissolved in a bit of water) to help reduce the acid in the rumen. Repeat this as needed for all of the goats with bloat. You can also give Milk of Magnesia (the adult dose for adult goats) every 6 hours until the stools go from normal to clumpy back to normal again. this will help clear out the stuff in the digestive tract.

I lost 8 goats yesterday within an hour of eating red top hay. Also had 2 more sick & gave the C&D Antitoxin. They appear to be ok this morning. Have a 5 week old bottle baby very bloated & crying. He was not quite this bloated last night & gave him 1 cc antitoxin under skin. Just gave 2 cc about hour ago of antitoxin in back leg & does not appear to help He also had access to the red top hay yesterday. The vet won't be back till 1 pm. Got any suggestions?
