Yes CL abscesses can occur in this area and can get big in a hurry. Many seem to pop up overnight. Sounds like it may be coming to a head and getting ready to break open. I would isolate her until you are sure of what it is.

About a week ago I noticed a lump on the side of my doe a little smaller than the palm of a womans had and maybe about 3/4 of an inch thick. It also had two smaller little lobes coming off of it. You couldn't really see it before unless she had her front feet up on something. Now it's really bolbus - a little bigger than a golf ball and perfectly round, no more lobes coming off it and you see it plainly with her just standing there. This is behind her belly and toward the bottom of her thigh. Would CL change this much in a week? We intend to take her to the vet but need new tires on trailer before we go anywhere. I'm very worried! Any ideas about the CL?
