Goats can get ear infections and ear mites. You might try an ear ointment or drops for dogs. Also check for a tick in the ear. Using an ivermectin pouron or a pouron delicer will often kill ear mites. If it is an infection you may need to put her on injectable antibiotics for a week or so.

Look into the ear canal with a flashlite. Is it cruddy, oozing brown? Does it smell bad or is it red and swollen?

Hi I am new to goats and have a 3 yr old Nubian milking doe who has been scratching one of her ears and shaking her head some. She is off her feed this morning, which is really unusual for her. If anyone could please give me some information about this I would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks
