Yes SQ means giving an injection under the skin rather than into the muscle. Giving a goat oral antibiotics kills the vital digestive microbes so nearly all antibiotics and many other meds are given by SQ injection.

HI
What color is this bucks nose running?
I would go ahead and start hin on Penicillin sq 4cc/30 lbs every 6 houirs for 5 days.
Has he been wormed if so whatwith and how much if his inner ewyelids are pale to a nice pinp you are ok with this.
If not you need to worm as well.
Pliase get back to me ASAP

My 12 week old buck has had a thick mucous discharge from his nose. Is he getting sick? I want to catch it before he gets really sick. He acts fine in every other way. Can I give him LA 200 or penecillen? I will take his temp when I get home from work today. Thanks for the advise.
